OOTD Outfit ideas for the future

Some recent outfit ideas and planning for the cold weather that is on it's way

Love this first outfit, this fluffy jersey/cardigan is just so comfy and I think it will be really nice and warm in winter

I paired it with my textured burgundy/oxblood circle/skater skirt for some blush colour accents

Then went with white 2 break from the red and peach tones with this cute embellished zip detail crop top, then threw on my faux JC Litas to keep the look edgy

2nd outfit shows my clear obsession with burgundy right now with this cute pleather skirt which I paired with my grey slouchy tank top

I added a black bandeau underneath for some added coverage and added some black boots

I am so very in love with my new kimono, I love the colour they used against the black, very pale tones of cream, green and pink which makes this kimono with its tassels very versatile. I just paired the kimono with my grey crop 3/4 sleeve tee, high waisted shorts and my cream/beige/nude combat boots to pick up those tones in the kimono

Lastly, here I wore my white base floral bodycon skirt with its blue, pink and green tones and paired it with a slouchy sweat top which matches the blue in the skirt perfectly and brings that colour out, then just added my nude patent pumps so as not to distract from the colours

These outfits are very obviously me preparing for the cold but clinging onto the warmth...

OOTDs Playing catchup again

I keep forgetting to take pictures of my outfits...my mind is not all there and things have been so crazy coz I moved recently and have been so busy unpacking, so everything has been quite a mess! And with these 2 outfits I guess I was really feeling the burgundy...but who can blame me

First outfit that I missed which I wore about a week ago...I wore my boxy burgundy tee from H&M with my black Free2Bu circle skirt, grey over the knee socks, crey knit cardigan from Identity and my trusty black combat boots. I wore the shirt tucked into the skirt and pulled out to create a messy look

Second outfit which I wore on Monday (2014-03-17)
Here I wore my black lace dress and burgundy cardigan, both from Mr Price, paired with my brown skinny belt and these gorgeous ankle boots which are so different to any other ankle boots I've seen and can only be dubbed something like "Pixie Boots" OR "Pirate Boots" and what can I say I really love them!

I though this outfit would be better to see if I had it on, for some reason the layout just wasn't doing it justice...So here it is!

OOTD Rainy Days

So today's outfit was a mash up and wasn't well planned as we are moving and most of my clothes have been packed away already and I have left only summer things left...not smart on my part, so I have had to make a rainy day outfit of summer items...which despite the limited options I think it turned out quite cute actually.

So here's the rainy day side of it, wore my black Free2bu circle skirt, grey wolf slouchy tee from CottonOn, cream over the knee socks, hooded pleather jacket, my Plum combat boots and my DIY oxblood/burgundy infinity scarf for some added warmth.

This was the outfit I originally wanted to wear, same outfit just with oxblood/burgundy heeled boots from Mr Price, I didn't go with this option because the bottom of the shoes are smooth and with the rain I didn't wanna end up in a situation where I would likely fall on my ass! LOL. Accident avoidance!

Then for jewels I just went for this silver Hamsa earcuff from Factorie and my silver midi rings from Lovisa

OOTD Jekyll + Hyde

So my outfit today gives me a Jekyll and Hyde feel, I couldn't decide if I wanted to be good or bad. It's funny that with a simple change of shoes the outfit gets a completely different look to it, but seeing as I am taking advantage of my boss not being around, I went for the Mr Hyde.

Just to add to the spooky topic, this was a picture that i took the other night through my boyfriend's telescope. So this is before I cropped it. I love having access to a telescope, the amazing things I've seen are crazy, for instance I have actually seen Saturn and the belt around it, which was amazing, I plan to get a much stronger telescope at some point though because not all the planets are as clear as what Saturn was.

This is after I cropped it, amazing how you can see all those scratchy marks all over thee moon and its craters on the sides. Truly amazing to see thee moon so clearly.

Okay now back to my outfit...I just paired my black polka dot crop top with a high-waisted grey skirt and my combat boots, so simple and yet so cute.

Then for accessories, I continued my midi ring obsession with my silver set of rings here

And then added this stunning vintage silver coin necklace, this is actually an old South African coin from when we were still under the British rule. Its a 2 an half shillings coin with Elizabeth 2 Regina's face on it. One of my favourite necklaces.

I like that this outfit could either have gone very elegant and pretty or very grunge. A good outfit to turn from day to night look in my opinion

Witching Hour

So this is some part new things which I bought myself and then others are things that my Mom brought me back from England from H&M! YAY! And this blog is aptly named for my Favourite item from H&M.

But first things first, here are some accessories that I have been searching high and low for, been to many a shop in search, These are from South Africa.
The top set of midi rings are from a jewelry shop in Crest Shopping Center, Randburg, called LOVISA. And Thank you to them for having a huge selection of Midi rings, I was really spoiled for choice and struggled to only take the ones that I did end up with, so now I have a gold and silver set, which is a good start.

Secondly, this midi ring and hand chain/slave bracelet are from Mr Price, love the slave bracelet but the midi ring needed some alterations, I removed some links to make to chains shorter and cut one of the rings to make it smaller to fit like a midi ring because they are meant to be descending sizes but they were all the same size, so not exactly a well thought out ring, but its better now after my alterations.

Here, I bought this skirt a while back, it was in one of my earlier posts,  but haven't really worn it as I haven't like the ways that I could pair it, so I bought this cream bodysuit with this gorgeous Victorian yoke lace neckline, so now it is complete!!!

So here is my first item that I got from H&M, its a cute jersey material slouchy tank which I love and I paired it with a bright orange tank underneath which I though would be super cute!

So Last but far from least, this gorgeous dress from H&M!!!!! Words cannot express how in LOVE I am with this dress!!!! Its, from what I have been able to establish from the internet, a slub jersey dress? I love how its somewhat see through, so you can wear things underneath and they will show through. I paired it with a black slip dress that I had from one of my lace dresses.
So here I have basically gone with all black hence the title choice, it reminds me of something worn in the film The Craft.
So to further embrace the witchy vibes I pulled my black cat into my pics here, obviously you can't be a witch without your trusty black cat! LOL. Although she was not having any of it.
And here are my midi rings which I asked my mother to get for me because at that time I hadn't found any here yet, and a girl can never have enough accessories. Also from H&M, I love the antique look to these rings and all the different shapes and designs, very special ones these.

So all in all I need to move to a country with H&M. That is the moral of this story. You hear me Obama, I need to move to America for the awesome clothes please! Thank you!

OOTD Earth Toned

Rocking the natural tones with today's outfit, and LOVING my new combat boots. I've been checking these babies out for quite a while and luckily they waited for me!
White t-shirt dress cinched in by my brown broad belt and my cute little accessories! This outfit is a winner for me, it should have seen more than just my desk at work.

I think I'm totally doing a "New clothes" post again in the next few days.

OOTD: Combat Princess

For some reason I love mixing girly and tough styles together, so this outfit was fun for me. The girly high waisted skater skirt and peplum top tucked in with a side of edgy and tough by adding the combat boots. I don't think this is exactly work appropriate but I couldn't help myself. The heart wants what the heart wants! LOL
