OOTD TART-an

So this was my outfit from last night, we went out for my boyfriend's sister's birthday to some fancy restaurant/lounge deal.

So I went with dressed up but not over the top, I wore my new biker-style jersey from Mr Price, my over the knee boots from Rage and of course the focal point, my high waisted tartan skirt also from Mr Price

I love the look of this jacket and it fits so nicely, and it's super soft which is always a bonus!

Then for when the jersey wasn't necessary this was my outfit underneath, I wore this gorgeous body suit which I got from Meltz a long time ago and never actually got to wearing it, so glad it got a night out, it deserves it...

And this is what I mean when I say that it deserves it...the tartan skirt might be the focal point of this  outfit but the body suit is definitely the Piece De Resistance! I love the cut-outs on the back of it, they really make this body-suit very striking! Also very in love with these over the knee boots, it took me forever to find ones that I liked! So YAY for me!

And I just realized...I totally forgot to accessorize this outfit...not that it's lacking but it could have added to have thrown on some cute accessories...what a fool I am

OOTD Paint It Black

So today's outfit was pretty moody, inspired by my mood, influenced by the weather...

Wearing my beloved kimono to keep the chill off, with a plain black tee, then for a change in "texture" (hmmm not sure if that's the right word for this context) I'm wearing my wet-look leggings

I then went with some silver jewellery to break from the black and also wearing my favourite little black pirate booties.

I don't generally go for so much of one colour in an outfit but this time it was working for me...smiles all around from me

OOTD Burgundy and blush

So this was today's outfit for Sunday lunch, this was the final outfit, I wore my burgundy circle/skater skirt with my cream lace crop top, paired with my cream thigh high socks and my brown combat boots, then for warmth added my cute blush fluffy cardigan

Here's a view of the outfit without the cardigan which is how I wore it mostly  as it was quite warm today

And then here was the alternative to the blush cardigan but I liked the cardigan better for this outfit...not actually sure how I feel about the outfit with the denim jacket

OOTD All that glitters is actually silver

A little play on the saying 'all that glitters is gold', well in my mind it's actually silver. My outfit today definitely shows the shine
I paired my acid wash denim shirt with my black wet-look/leather look skater skirt with my silver boxy camisole underneath

I then just added my faux converse to keep the look young and casual and not too worker looking

So here is a better idea of the silver pleated camisole, so the outfit could have been worn like this if I was in the sun more today but i was mainly indoors so I didn't over heat too much

Here's a close up of the details, the silver stud embellishments on my denim shirt and my silver midi rings for some added sparkle

OOTD Konnichiwa

This was today's actual outfit, where I am rocking my kimono...sigh...it's fantastic!
I wore it with my white slouchy crop top and my high waited shorts

Here's an idea of the all over print of the kimono with the tassels

I then wore it with my black ankle boots which I have been wearing a lot recently
Here's just the outfit without the kimono which could stand alone but seeing how the weather is getting colder the kimono was good to keep the chill off

OOTD Outfit ideas for the future

Some recent outfit ideas and planning for the cold weather that is on it's way

Love this first outfit, this fluffy jersey/cardigan is just so comfy and I think it will be really nice and warm in winter

I paired it with my textured burgundy/oxblood circle/skater skirt for some blush colour accents

Then went with white 2 break from the red and peach tones with this cute embellished zip detail crop top, then threw on my faux JC Litas to keep the look edgy

2nd outfit shows my clear obsession with burgundy right now with this cute pleather skirt which I paired with my grey slouchy tank top

I added a black bandeau underneath for some added coverage and added some black boots

I am so very in love with my new kimono, I love the colour they used against the black, very pale tones of cream, green and pink which makes this kimono with its tassels very versatile. I just paired the kimono with my grey crop 3/4 sleeve tee, high waisted shorts and my cream/beige/nude combat boots to pick up those tones in the kimono

Lastly, here I wore my white base floral bodycon skirt with its blue, pink and green tones and paired it with a slouchy sweat top which matches the blue in the skirt perfectly and brings that colour out, then just added my nude patent pumps so as not to distract from the colours

These outfits are very obviously me preparing for the cold but clinging onto the warmth...

OOTD Boots, Buns and Bows

Today's outfit was cute casual, just a shopping date with my Momz to the mall kind of outfit. And also something out of the ordinary for me, I had my hair in a bun, I've been meaning to try this hairstyle for a while but usually just love my loose hair too much and go with the "I will do it next time" philosophy, but today I just though screw it and went for it, and might I say I am pleasantly surprised at the fact that I liked my hair up, I think it was quite cute...Okay so enough about that now and onto my outfit...
Today I embraced the clear blue sky and beautiful sun and took full advantage and wore my cheeky denim shorts with my black and white striped slouchy tank top for a laid back look and added my cute pixie/pirate boots to add a bit more edge to the outfit

This is the back of the tank, I love the yellow zip detail on the back! Also threw on a stud detail bow under my bun for some accessory detail

Because the weather is still on it's way to winter, it does get a little chilly in the evenings so I just added my cobalt blue knit jersey/cardigan for a pop of colour

I love this jersey because it's so soft and warm and super comfy and can be dressed up or down very easily

Stripe tank top, shorts and bow - Mr Price
Jersey - Pick 'n Pay clothing (believe it or not they have awesome clothes sometimes)
Boots from the local flea market
