OOTD Tribal Trouble

So today's outfit is me totally trying to make the most of what's left of summer! I'm actually getting really depressed about this...I'm not ready to let go yet...
And then all the people in the Northern hemisphere are getting excited for spring...
*cry my eyes out*

Wearing my racer cobalt tank top again, this time with a black bandeau underneath, I'm really quite fond of this tank right now...I paired it with this gorgeous tribal print skirt I picked up from Mr Price the other day...this skirt feels amazing...oooh so soft! Added my diamanté embellished sandals for some bling

Than wore this chunky owl pendant chain and a black strappy bracelet with silver details to keep with the bling theme

Here's a close-up of the pendant...

Clued up South Africa

I have been wanting to do a post like this for a while but it needed time and research...which I now have time to give. Not sure if I have mentioned this before but I have certain beliefs which lead me to be cautious of food and all the wonderful toxic chemicals and junk things that go into making our food what it is today, which I'm sure most people are clued up on by now. So from the mind set of being food wary I then moved onto what's in our water...fluoride! So what's in our toothpaste...yes, fluoride! So nice harmful chemicals that doctors and dentists lie to put nice bows on to hide the ugly truth...it's bad for you...Okay so if the doctors are lying to you then what else is bad, okay medicine, its pretty much all junk and hurting more than helping. Then onto what goes onto our bodies, the daily things that we use to keep ourselves pretty and such...yes lots of bad things to make you sick to send you to the doctors to give you their junk medicine to ensure that they can drive that nice car...because that's what the majority of them really care about...and if they they think they are really helping people through conventional medicine then they aren't good doctors in my opinions because they have not done the research into what they are really giving their patients, they are only doing exactly what they were taught to repeat. In the words of David Icke, they are repeaters, plain and simple. If you don't know who David Icke is...do yourself a favour and go research him.
Okay so basically the point of this blog is not to rant...which on this topic is difficult for me because I really am passionate about this subject...The matter of our well being!

So up until recently South Africa was not as clued up on these things as say America...we had less conscience people, but now thank goodness we are all starting to wake up and the facilities to care for our well being are becoming readily available.
for instance Woolworths now carries vegan products and milk alternatives such as oat milk, soy milk and my favourite rice milk. And more of our supermarkets are beginning to carry organic products which is so very wonderful to see...but there is still the matter of products that we put on our skin not being as readily available yet...the only full range health supermarket that I am aware of in Johannesburg is Fresh Earth in Emmerentia...which is awesome but quite a distance away for some of us and also mostly not too friendly on the pocket... and I had looked online many times for other places which carried natural and organic products and until now hadn't found so I am doing this in the instance that you as a South African have been having the same problem. So I really hope that I can help someone by doing this post. These sites seem to be fairly priced, obviously they will never be what commercial products cost but these are the best priced products that I have found to date

http://inthusiasm.co.za/
This site is all about makeup and perfume, it  is a natural and organic range, which is great and compared to most cosmetic products that I have seen such as Dr Haushka, these are well priced...the problem with these products is that many of them contain zinc oxides and/or titanium dioxide which from the research that I have done are not good for you...but Dr Haushka products also contain these...so I'm not sure where I stand on this for now...I have ordered some of the Inthusiasm products and will review them on a future post abut how I like them and any further information I find out about the ingredients...

http://www.hemporium.co.za/
So here...it's not hard to guess, are hemp based products, quite a wonderful site and of course hemp is amazing for it's crazy amount of uses. This site offers material, clothes and accessories, nutrition supplements and food and then finally body products from soaps to creams, deodorants, shampoo and conditioner, body mist, candles, massage oil and more and even things like tattoo oil to help heal your tattoos and keep them happy which is really cool. all of their products are natural and well priced. I can vouch for the Hemp Earthly Body Hemp Seed Hand & Body Lotion, I had the scent Skinny dip which is vanilla and cotton candy. I loved it! It smelt awesome and did an awesome job of keeping my skin moisturised but not leaving my hands oily which really annoys me about other creams!
I have ordered soaps and other scent creams and their deodorants from here, just waiting for delivery so excited to try those out and I will also review those

http://www.freshearth.co.za/store/
Here is Fresh Earth's online store which makes it easier if you don't want to travel to Emmerentia and they have free delivery on orders over R250 which is cool but only problem is often times they will have many things which are out of stock which is very annoying and like R said their prices are crazy sometimes. For instance I bought the Skinny dip Hemp cream from them on 50% sale for R100 so the original price was something close to R200...where if you buy from Hemporium, the cream is R98...so i wonder about their other products but they do have a great selection of products

Then there are store such as:
http://lush.co.za/
http://www.theoliveworkshop.co.za/default.htm (but their online shop has been closed for a while, not sure when it will be back up)
http://www.allurecosmetics.co.za/allure/index.php?route=common/home
http://www.organicchoice.co.za/
http://www.closer2nature.co.za/
 AND THEN...
http://www.shoporganic.co.za/ which is a guide to a number or organic sites which I found quite useful

and lastly of the sites that I have found, my favourite so far, and I'm not saying it's the best because I have not tried all of them, not by a long shot, so of the ones that I have tried http://www.faithful-to-nature.co.za/ has a huge variety of products and everything is very well priced and they also offer the free delivery on orders over R250. My mother and I ordered all kinds of things off of this site, shampoos and conditioners and household cleaners, laundry liquids, I am very excited to try all the new things when they arrive.
This site offers so much, even things that I had never even thought of such as firelighter and incense in natural, organic form which is mad. They have seeds, and food and so many things, this site will really make you crazy at how much they have! There's still so much that I want to try from them.

But yes anyway this is all the research that I have done, please feel free to tell me what you think and if you have better sites than the ones that I have listed here.
But mainly I hope I can help somebody from this...

OOTDs catchup...

Here I'm playing catchup with 2 outfits which I forgot to post...OOPs...
But anyway here they are

Firstly here's my Abracadabra amigos shirt from Cotton On, kept this outfit very simple but I love the purple colour with my hair... So here's a closeup of my tank, loved the print on it and just had to have it! I added minimal accessories... Wearing black stud earrings and black and purple rope plaited bracelets

I paired the purple shirt with basic black leggings and my grey jersey cardigan-thing...and my black combat boots to keep the colours from taking away from the purple

Secondly, I went a bit hipster on this one. My black skater skirt (or circle skirt) which I paired with my cropped white tee and my faux converse...AGAIN...

Love this pairing because it's cute and comfortable and is quite simple but doesn't look it!

Then just for when it got later I had this grey jersey cardigan at the ready...I also happen to wear this thing a lot I've noticed but it's really so comfy and keeps the chill off but doesn't make you overheat which is perfect!

OOTD Brighten Up

Bright colours make everything better!!! I know they brighten up my day!

So for today's outfit I paired this racer-front cobalt tank top with a neon yellow bandeau because it was showing too much of my bra and needed some extra coverage. I had been hesitant to wear this tank until now because of that. But this pairing has restored my faith in it. I also had to tie a knot in the side because otherwise the tank was too long and would make me look as though I had left the house without putting pants on...

Then I added this sleeveless acid wash denim vest which coincidentally match my shorts very well, I don't usually like so much matchy denim but these 2 worked quite well together. I added more yellow to compliment the blue with this laser cut cuff and yellow hanging earrings.

Then just slapped on my faux converse, because everything is just better with some hot sneakers on you feet! I like the colour block effect and then how the sneakers break it up!
